Sustainability Initiatives at Yurbban Hotels
0.7% of online revenue for local NGOs
0.7% of the semi-annual revenue from online bookings at Yurbban Passage and Yurbban Trafalgar is donated to a local NGO, reinforcing our commitment to social development and the local economy.
Circular economy: farm-fresh fertiliser
A portion of the organic waste generated at Yurbban Passage is transformed through a natural process into farm-fresh compost, which is used to nourish the plants within the hotels themselves. A clear example of the circular economy applied to the hotel sector.
The 4-Minute Challenge: responsible water consumption
The 4-Minute Challenge is an awareness initiative launched in 2023 in response to the drought in Catalonia. Its aim is to encourage water conservation in hotels by inviting guests to limit their showers to four minutes.
Biosphere Certification: certified sustainable tourism
All Yurbban hotels hold Biosphere Certification, one of the most prestigious international marks of sustainability in tourism. Since 2019, we have maintained this status by implementing best practices in responsible and sustainable tourism.
